Our dedication doesn’t end once you’ve secured a position — we provide ongoing after-placement support and are always available to mediate or assist should any issues arise.

Enrolling with Family Connections is straightforward and designed to ensure we can support you effectively throughout your job search.

To begin, simply send us your up-to-date CV. We will review this thoroughly and, if suitable, send you a registration form to complete with further information about your experience, qualifications, and the type of role you are seeking.

Once your form has been returned, we will arrange an interview to get to know you better. Subject to a successful interview, we will then proceed with checking your references, DBS, first aid certificate, and any other relevant qualifications you hold.

There is no registration fee to enrol with Family Connections. However, it is essential that your CV remains current at all times. Keeping your CV up to date allows us to move quickly on your behalf when suitable roles become available. We always recommend emailing us your latest CV as soon as you register and whenever there are any changes.

Our aim is to make the process clear, supportive, and efficient — helping you take the next confident step in your childcare career.

Once you’re all set up and ready to go, we’ll be in touch as soon as a position comes in that we think you might like. If you’re interested, we’ll then send your details over to the family on your behalf.

This will include your CV, application and registration forms, copies of your certificates, and references. It’s always a good idea to take the original copies with you to the interview too.

If you have any coursework, artwork, or projects you’ve done with children, bringing these along is a lovely way to show your experience and creativity.

Remember, an interview is a two-way conversation — it’s your chance to get to know the family just as much as theirs to get to know you. Jotting down a few questions beforehand can really help, and we’re always happy to support and advise you with interview preparation.
